10:00 am Service: Other Faiths and Ours. Rev. Wendy McNiven.
The first week of February is called ―World Interfaith Harmony Week. A relatively new initiative of the UN, one overarching goal is that people of many faith groups will become more aware of their commonly held values, and less critical of differences. Today‘s sermon will explore some of the questions that arise when we consider diversity of religious belief and practice.
Children’s Program: Toolbox of Faith - Humour.
Sandpaper symbolizes humor, a tool which smooths the rough edges of life. This session provides opportunities to reflect on how humour and laughter in a life of Unitarian Universalist faith can help us survive and enjoy the life we are given.

10:00 am Service: The Big Love of the Buddha. Wendy Weseen.
Of all of life‘s mysteries, love fascinates us the most. We talk of romantic love, brotherly love, platonic love, erotic love and un-conditional love. Music, books, movies, art work, television programs, plays, advertising, and digital media have love as their favourite theme and ap-plaud its desirability and presence in our lives as the source of happiness. No matter how long we live, the subject of love continues to mystify and occupy our minds and our hearts. With this service, I hope to offer a perspective based on the expansive love of the Buddha, understanding that the path of life is love – from loving ourselves, to intimate relationships, to holding the whole world in our hearts.
Children’s Program: Tapestry of Faith - Love in our Congregation.
This session focuses on the fourth Source of Unitarian Universalism, expressed in children's language as "Jewish and Christian teachings which tell us to love all others as we love ourselves." Jesus called on his followers to live in service to those in need; this service strengthens community. Children hear a story of Jesus' life and explore the concept of community.
