Annual UU Sorrento Family Retreat
|
Small Group Discussions - held on the first Sunday of the month - October 4th, November 1st and December from 10 to 11 am at the Valleyview Hall. Open to everyone. Topics to be announced.
Paganism 101 - held on the third Sunday of the month starting at 9:30 am at Valleyview Hall. This program is an exploration of the "new paganism" - a lively way of worshipping nature and attending to its rhythmns, wisdom and demands, and is rich in myth and ritual. As well, it is an Earth-centered, nature based religious tradition informed by a Unitarian perspective. Binders will be available for all of the handouts, at a cost of $20.
In the past we have offered programs such as Voluntary Simplicity, Evensong, Unplugging the Christmas Machine, Parenting and Spirituality. We have members trained to facilitate the Our Whole Lives, an adult sexuality education program, and if when there are enough interested people the course will be offered. As well, throughout the year, members participate in monthly book clubs and men's and women's lunches. Each year we have our annual summer picnic in Riverside Park and a family retreat in Sorrento. Throughout the year, we also enjoy other recreational activities such as hikes, picnics, pot -luck dinners etc.
Please check our monthly calendar on our resources page. You are welcome to join in.
