Children’s Program 2011-2012
We will be following Tapestry of Faith again this year, completing the second half of two programs. Our fall program features Toolbox of Faith which invites participants to reflect on qualities of our Unitarian Universalist faith, such as justice, courage and resiliency, as tools they can use in living their lives and building their own faith.
In the spring, Love Will Guide Us helps participants learn to seek guidance in life through the lens of our Unitarian Universalist Sources, with an emphasis on love. Together we ask questions such as, "Where did we come from?" "What is our relationship to the Earth and other creatures?" "How can we respond with love, even in bad situations?" "What happens when you die?" Sessions apply wisdom from our Sources to help participants answer these questions. Participants will learn that asking questions is valued in Unitarian Universalism, even as they begin to shape their own answers.
For the topics and activities of upcoming sessions, please see Sunday Services & Programs.

Family Events
Family Events are an important part of the Children's Program. In September, look for family participation in the Great Green Transportation Tune-up Week. In October, plan to attend our Pumpkin Patch Family Dinner!
Registration
Registration for Sunday School is on the third Sunday in September, but newcomers are welcome to bring their children at any time throughout the year. Advance notice is preferred but not required.
If you plan to attend with your children, please call Anne Neave, Children’s Program Co-ordinator, at 250 374-2351.
Newcomer parents are invited to stay with their children downstairs if it is necessary to help their children feel comfortable.
