Overview

Our children’s Sunday School Program takes place concurrently with the adult Sunday Service at 10 am on the first and third Sundays from September to June.

The Annual UU Sorrento Family Retreat in June is another great way to get children involved. See Events between April and June for information and registration.

We offer a vibrant program for children from Kindergarten through Grade 7. Our teachers are assisted each Sunday by a parent or a congregational volunteer.

Our program begins with the children attending the first 20 minutes of the adult service. There they have a chance to participate in the introductory song and the lighting of candles. The children are then “sung out” by the congregation as they leave the adults to go downstairs for the remaining 40 minutes.

We ask that all parents assist in the Sunday School class a few times a year so they know what is being taught and feel comfortable in our space.
